love around me: a log
Since February, I’ve been keeping a log of sweet little moments around me. I’ve been taking a lot of inspiration from them lately, so thought I’d share a few of them!
1:54 am feb 5th
two people sprinting in the tunnel. tunnel racers? smiles.
10:50 pm feb 13th
seeing my dad waiting for me at union station on the maps, he knows he’s an hour early i tell him he’s going to be waiting a while and he says “you know i don’t know how to be late”.
3:21 pm feb 19th
a guy using the massive snow piles as a lounge chair while waiting to cross the street.
3:37 feb 22nd
guy with a naturally smiling face sitting across from me on the subway. what are you smiling about? how amazing is it that you were born with lips that naturally curve up. i wonder if that keeps you naturally happier, like that method of fake smiling until its real.
11:41 pm march 1st
guys playing soccer in the tunnels. just lovely.
1:30 pm may 1st
lady entering subway at eglinton station with a beautiful violet orchid plant!
2 pm may 1st
college stop on the spadina streetcar, everyone’s hiding in the little nooks from the rain. two girls give each other a great big hug, turning their two spots under the awning into one. a punk looking guy moves into the spot the one girl used to occupy, making it so the girls had to stay in embrace to stay dry until the streetcar comes. What horror!
8:30 pm june 3rd
just gone northbound on line one from bloor, and an older lady is reading a children’s book to a (grown) man. he seems very invested as he leans to look at the photos and hug the lady. Very sweet :)
