trade zines with me!
I've now completed my second issue of con moto, my perzine! You can see some of the first issue here.
This issue is something of a summer wrap-up, and I delve into the activities and paper mementos of my time abroad, as well as the activities and paper mementos of my time back home. In the face of the impending fall, the 5-hour stretch back to school in just 2 days, I had the chance to look back on my summer with a wash of finality. Summers done!
I've written before on how I prefer to keep my art endeavors as non-moneymaking. After I made my first issue, I scoured around for fellow zine makers to trade with, looking at places like instagram, FreakScene, as well as friends from around Canada and the US. I also dropped it off at my city's zine library with a few extras that have now disappeared from the freebie bin. Who knows who's hands its in now!
This time, I'm reaching out to my fellow bear bloggers. If you're a zinester, zine inclined, art inclined, or literally just want mail to rip open, reach out to me!
Through trading this last zine, I've received mail from around Canada and the US, the UK, a few other European countries, and even Australia! It's such a special thing to receive a little personal gift for you in your mailbox just for some postage and sharing of creativity. I'd love to see everyone's beautiful work and share some of mine :)
