we'll be together a while

Tonight, I'm procrastinating on writing another blog post with a traded title, as I'm still pondering deeply on it. Kami, if you're reading this, I'm sorry! Lots to think about!

After work today, I stopped by the zine library and read for a while, one zine in particular I finished from my previous library session, as it was super long. It has shifted my perspective on a lot of things though. I've been very into per-zines lately, which are diary-esque personal zines.

Anyway, after that, I had an iced coffee and pie at the nearby cafe (33 degree patio, it was like I was in Greece again!), and slowly wandered my way northbound to meet with my best friend.

I've known her since grade 5, and she's one of the only people I can fully and truly chill with. She lives nearby, so she's always a text away and boom, we're walking around, doing anything together. This time, she decided she was craving ice cream, so on the way to our favourite gardens, we tried a new place for the fun of it.

People like that, where you're together and floating wherever the wind takes you are the true gifts of life! All of my work exhaustion and mood was completely erased by virtue of easy conversation and a little treat. She knows how much I cherish her (I tell her so since I never keep things to myself), and if we've been together this long, I think we just might be set for life.

Just a little ode to the long haul friends! Few things are more reliable. We sat in the garden for a while and chatted about a myriad of things, but eventually we got fed up with the mosquitos and headed for the gates. After we turned away from each other, I popped some music in for my walk home and found myself dancing down the alley. Life is good!
